Listening as activism
I’m a sound artist and climate activist, working at the intersection between sound and interaction design. Through my works, I explore the climate crisis as a slow matter of urgency. How we can attune ourselves to the changing environment? Lately, this theme has been investigated through the method of ‘patient listening’. I integrate my artworks with current environmental agendas, e.g. through collaborations with the Danish youth movement FLOR and The Danish Society for Nature Conservation.
I hold an MSc in Audiodesign from Aarhus University. Besides my artistic practice, I also teach workshops in music composition and sound design for games, most recently at The Royal Academy of Music (Aalborg) and Aarhus University.
