Feed_me (2021)

Don’t kill the music, please.

Feed_me (2021) was created as part of the course ‘Sound as Design Material’, and I decided to work with a theme of morality. With inspiration from the classic “TAMAGOTCHI”-games, where your virtual pet would die if you didn’t interact with it, I decided to create a music machine which will slowly fall apart if you neglect it.

When Feed_me dies, there is no ‘reverse’-button. You are left with a noisy, broken machine.

The design is based on 8-Bit videogames and glitch-aesthetics.
